Swatches: Evil Shades

I was very please when I got back from holiday to find my Evil Shades order waiting for me at home. I'd heard good things about the company and was excited about trying them out. I really like the items I ordered.


I got seven lipstick samples and four full size eyeshadows. My order came with two free samples - an eyeshadow and a sample of one of Evil Shades' new Stars glitter.

Colour descriptions from the Evil Shades website are in italics followed by my own comments.

Zicke - Taupish metallic lilac with multi color shimmer. This is a lovely cool shimmer on me. It's a deeper lilac than it seems in this picture.

Reign - Nude with subtle pink shimmer. On me this is a very nude colour. It's subtle but pretty and on me seems to give a golden sheen rather pink shimmer.

Primrose Path - Pinkish coral with subtle green shimmer. Very pretty nude, this is one of my favourite colours of the samples I got.

Ardour - Juicy orange crème. I was surprised by how wearable this colour is; I'm still not sure it's one I'd wear very often but it manages to be vibrant without sacrificing wearability.

Diabolical - Coppery metallic red. Redder than it seems here.

Devilista - Cool tone red crème. Another favourite colour, this is slightly more pink than it appears in the picture.

Stiletto - Bright fuchsia/pink with blue undertone

I really like these lipsticks. They're creamy and it was easy to get even coverage. I'll definitely be getting full sizes of Zicke, Primrose Path and Devilista.


I was also pleased with the eye shadows I got.
